  Hi there! Welcome to Where The Road Zigs! I started this blog mostly as a place for me to rant about life. But I've quickly realized that there might be other people who go through this stuff too. So it's slowly become a place for me to rant as well as to share information and encourage others.
     So a little bit about me! I'm 20 years old, almost 21. I am originally from Las Vegas, NV and now live in Nebraska. In high school I struggled with conversion disorder which is when my brain takes psychological stress and turns it into a physical reaction. This is why I will get fevers with no warning or suddenly get sick and be down for the count for a while. I was finally put on Lexipro which is an anxiety medication which helped the conversion disorder so much! I still struggle with it more than I would like but it's much more manageable.
     Then, in February of this year I started having extremely random health problems. From my potassium constantly being critically low, heart palpitations, anaphylaxis that has led to near respiratory arrest, to never ending infections and illnesses. I've been thrown through the ringer this year. My doctors have been working incredibly hard to help me figure out what is causing such haywire in my body as well as what we can do to get everything under control. And although we've made great strides towards "fixing" me, I've come to learn that my illnesses change quickly and what might work today, might not work tomorrow.
      This is my life friends. Come along for the ride. Ask me questions, leave comments, what ever floats your fancy. And remember friends, you can do this. There's a light at the end of what ever tunnel you're going through.
